CMAs Frontrunner Lainey Wilson Sets National Headlining Tour for Summer/Fall 2024
Lainey Wilson, the breakout country star who leads the pack in this year’s CMA Awards nominations, has announced a headlining tour that will take her across the U.S. in May through November of 2024.
The singer and “Yellowstone” actor will celebrate her string of No. 1 country singles with dates that begin and end in the regions she calls home — starting May 31 at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheatre and wrapping up Nov. 15 in Monroe, Louisiana’s Civic Center. In-between, the “Country’s Cool Again Tour” will hit venues such as New York’s Radio City Music Hall (on June 26) and L.A.’s Greek Theatre (on Sept. 1).
These 2024 dates aren’t Wilson’s first time out as a headliner — she just played Colorado’s Red Rocks — but it’s her first time traveling the U.S. as an amphitheater and theater topper, after a 2023 tour that mostly found her in smaller venues.

Wilson is going into this year’s CMA Awards with nine nominations, far ahead of the nearest contender, Jelly Roll, who has five. She is up for the top prize, entertainer of the year, along with other awards like album of the year (for her sophomore album, “Bell Bottom Country”) and single of the year, where she has two nominations, for “Heart Like a Truck” and “Wait in the Truck,” the latter being a collaboration with Hardy.
Wilson has spent three weeks at the peak of the Billboard Country Airplay chart this month with “Watermelon Moonshine,” her third No. 1 single. It marked the first time a solo female artist topped the chart for one week, let alone three, since her own breakout hit “Things a Man Oughta Know” her breakout hit,” reached No. 1 two years earlier. She is also currently on the chart as a featured artist on Jelly Roll’s fast-rising top 20 hit “Save Me,” which could ultimately put her in the top spot again.
Jackson Dean, Ian Munsick and Zach Top are booked as the opening acts.
